What qualifications or experience do I need?
You will need 4 GCSEs grade 8/9 - 3 (A*-D), preferably including English; a Functional Skills Level 1 in maths and/or English, or a Level 1 qualification in a related area and a reference from your previous school/college.
What will I study ?
This broad-based course at Barnet and Southgate College enables you to experience a range of core skills including Video Production,
Research for Media Production and Creative Media Audiences and Products.
At the end of the programme you will have the opportunity to showcase your work at the Barnet and Southgate College 'Media Oscars'!
How will I be assessed ?
Coursework is assessed throughout the year.

Will I need an interview ?
Yes - you will need to meet a member of staff for an interview; to which you should bring a portfolio of your artwork, and a written piece (approximately 300 words – one side of A4) on why you are applying for a creative course and what your future plans are.
Any extra costs for equipment/materials ?
Most of the materials will be provided, but it is advisable to invest in a selection of media storage equipment and materials, so that you can continue your work outside of the studios.
Further Information
Students may be required to study Functional Skills or GCSE English and/or Maths as part of their programme.
