For international students, Barnet and Southgate College offers an ideal London base for studies. Our campuses are located with excellent transport links, and are just a short Underground journey away from central London. Courses are run across all our main sites. We welcome international students from all over the world on a wide range of courses; academic, professional, vocational and general interest courses, from Level 3 programmes to Higher National Diplomas (HND), Foundation Degrees and Top-Up Years.

We are licensed to sponsor migrants under the Student Route.

This is for students who wish to study full-time on courses (a minimum of 15 hours daytime study per week), which are 12 months or more in length. Students must be aged 16 years or over.

Applying for a Visa

Please note that that the Home Office checks all your documentation i.e. CAS, proof of sufficient funds and original copies of your academic qualifications.

Refund Policy

If your visa application is refused you need to apply for a refund and submit the refusal notice.

Usually refunds will only be issued in exceptional circumstances and are subject to a £300 administration charge. If a student comes to the UK and either does not enrol onto their chosen course or withdraws from their course, no refund will be issued. These students will also be reported to the UK Visas and Immigration Agency if they have been given a Student Visa.
