Barnet and Southgate College and North London Business Hub are working together to offer students the opportunity to help small business owners understand how to use social media more effectively to promote their enterprises. The initiative, entitled POSITIVELY DIGITAL, will take place over a three-month period, starting in September 2021.
Over the course of the project, a digital marketing expert will mentor and support a group of participating students to create content and slides for a webinar on social media best practice for small businesses.
Students will be tasked with online research to identify good examples from businesses with effective social media campaigns on various platforms such as: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, You Tube, LinkedIn etc. These examples will then be used to form part of the webinar which will then be delivered as one of North London Business Hub’s series of business skills webinars, targeted at an audience of small businesses. The webinar will be presented by the digital marketing expert on Zoom, supported by the participating Barnet and Southgate College students.
