“My name is Maizie and I am studying on the Supported Learning course with catering at the Southgate Campus. I enjoy coming to College and the best thing about the course is that you get to learn about customer service skills as well as learning how to cook different things; like how to cook an omelette, soup, vegetable burgers and wraps.
We have practical lessons like cooking two days a week, then we also have other lessons in the week, like: PE, Maths, English and the World of Work. The course has given me much more confidence and my favourite part is the cooking, but I do like my other lessons as well and eventually I’d like to try and get a job after my course working in a shop.”
Our SEND provision benefits greatly from our state-of-the-art centre that incorporates a great setting with facilities appropriate to a wide range of specific educational needs.
We aim to provide a friendly learning environment that matches individual needs. Every learner has a personal tutor to give individual advice, monitor progress and help identify suitable progression routes.
All places in the Centre are allocated through local authority consultations and referrals.
