Champion boxer visits sports academy students at Southgate Campus

Viddal, also a former youth Olympian, talked to the students, conducted a training session in the academy gymnasium and inspected the College's new strength and conditioning gym facilities at the Southgate Campus.

He also filmed some interviews for later release on his YouTube channel and other platforms.

The boxing champion's status as a social media star fuelled interest in his visit across the whole campus.

James Edgerley, Sports Development Officer for the College, said:

"The reaction from students across the board when Viddal arrived was amazing - he's a role model for so many of our students. 

It's fantastic that he took time out of his schedule to come and meet the students and coaches, check out our facilities and generally see what's going on at the Barnet and Southgate College Boxing Academy."
