Barnet and Southgate College was rated by Ofsted as 'Good' in all aspects of its last full inspection, and has seen significant increases in the number of students choosing to study A Levels at its Barnet Campus in recent years. As the College's reputation for delivering high quality learning across all A Level subjects grows amongst young people there have been a record number of applications to join the programme this coming September.

Applications are still open for anyone still wishing to secure a place on the College's highly successful A Level programme this coming September.

Today also saw students on many other Level 3 Vocational courses such as BTECs getting their results across the College's main campuses.

Again, results at Barnet and Southgate College were cause for celebration, with many students getting grades at distinction level.

100% of Barnet and Southgate College students scored passes in Performing Arts, Travel & Tourism, Esports, IT and Business; other subject areas saw similarly high pass rates.

A high proportion of the College's vocational students also secured their first choice university places, with others progressing directly into paid employment or to apprenticeship programmes.

“We are pleased to celebrate our students’ A Level success with them as we see another year of excellent results for the students of Barnet and Southgate College.

"There have been some notable individual achievements which we are really proud of, but it is great to see so many students do so well, including the high number of students being successful across our range of vocational programmes that include Creative Arts and Media, Health and Education, IT and Business, Science, Engineering and of course our highly successful Sports Academy programmes.

"We are extremely pleased that, in spite of the uncertainty created for young people in the last few years, so many of our students are now looking forward to progressing to university and many to their first choice.

"We are also now supporting students from across our region who want advice and guidance about their next steps; with some looking to join Barnet and Southgate College in our excellent A Level programme, or study nationally recognised high quality vocational and technical qualifications, including new T Level Qualifications; while others may look to stay local and access our successful higher education and degree courses.”
