What qualifications or experience do I need?
To gain a place on this course, students will need to have a full Level 3 qualification (160 UCAS points) OR extensive relevant work experience AND a good command of English. Applicants must be aged 18 or over.
What will I study ?
Year 1: Academic Management & Professional Skills for the Events Industries; Managing the International (Events) Workforce; The Events Industry in Context; Event Project Design; Basics of Business for the Service Industries; Introduction to Marketing and Social Media for Events. Year 2: Applied Research Methods for Events Studies; Event Sponsorship and Income Generation; Risk Management and Legalities for Events; Project Management Operations; Work Experience.
How will I be assessed ?
Assessment is through a mixture of individual and group assignments, a dissertation report and occasional presentations and classroom-based examinations.

A Foundation Degree in Event Management
