What qualifications or experience do I need?
Applicants must be 19 + years and must already hold Level 1 English and maths qualifications. Evidence of previous placement or knowledge of Health and Social Care settings is an advantage. You will also need clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
What will I study ?
You will study a range of units that will develop your knowledge and skills to help start your career in the Health and Social Care Sector. You will be required to attend college and attend a work placement in a Health and Social Care setting. You will also study Level 2 Functional Skills English and mathematics.
How will I be assessed ?
You will be assessed through course work completed on line and in the classroom. You will be assigned an assessor who will visit you in the workplace and observe your work practice.
What qualifications could I achieve ?
On successful completion of the course students will achieve: Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care; Level 2 Functional Skills English; Level 2 Functional Skills Mathematics.
