Lucia, Level 3 Hairdressing Student

"I’ve been at the College for two years now, I live locally so knew about the Hairdressing Salon at the Colindale Campus, I was already doing afro hairdressing on a freelance basis, so when I decided to enrol on a course I knew that I wanted to come here. After I left school I went to study Childcare in Stanmore, but I knew that course wasn’t for me, so I made the change to hairdressing and I haven’t looked back. I started doing my own hair at school and slowly started to do my friends’ hair and my freelance work just snowballed from there, although that was always afro hair styling, so enrolling on this course I’ve learnt so much more about different hair types, techniques and colouring skills."
