What qualifications or experience do I need?
Level 2 Electrical qualification and GCSE English and maths at 4+ (Equivalent Qualifications from overseas will be considered; if an applicant has a grade 3 in either maths or English they will also be considered, but must retake that exam.)
What will I study ?
Learners interested in the Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Electrical Installation (8202) will study theoretical aspects of the subject and apply them to practical tasks.
Compulsory topics include:
Engineering materials; Planning and overseeing electrical work activities; Principles of electrical science; Electrical design and installation practices and procedures; Principles of inspection, testing and commissioning; Electrical systems; Inspecting, testing and commissioning electrical systems; Electrical system fault diagnosis and rectification; Requirements for electrical installations.
How will I be assessed ?
Your work will be assessed by a combination of City & Guilds knowledge exams and assessments of your practical work by a qualified assessor. You will be given help to prepare for all assessments and tests. The qualification also involves Employer involvement as part of the course

Successful completion of the course will lead to an award of 8202 Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Electrical Installation.
