This course at Barnet and Southgate College is for school leavers aged 16-19, including those with EHCPs, and is also suitable for progression from a Multi-Skills course. Learners should have GCSE (or equivalent) results in the range of grade 2-3. Those with lower level qualifications will be placed on Multi skills award or extended certificate.

What qualifications or experience do I need?
There are no specific entry requirements for this course, but to succeed, learners will need to be working at GCSE grade 2-3 or Functional Skills E3 / L1
What will I study ?
Students will study a number of carpentry and general construction skills, including jointing techniques, site joinery practices, and how to work safely.
How will I be assessed ?
There will be ongoing practical assessment with some externally set assessments.
