We run a range of hands-on, practical courses designed to prepare students for careers in the electrical installation and electrical engineering industries.
Our Southgate Campus has purpose-built electrical workshops and our specialised construction centre at Colindale features true-to-life installation units.
Students can progress through City and Guilds qualifications from Level 1 to Level 3, and may progress to an Apprenticeship or employment in the industry.
“I am 17 years old and live in Enfield Town, I’m studying on the Electrical Installation level 2 course at Southgate Campus, and it’s not too far from where I live so it’s convenient. Most of my family members are all electricians so they recommended the course and College to me and so far I love it I can’t wait to finish the course and start working.
"I came to College straight from school and I knew that it was what I wanted to do, as I’m not that academic and I thought I’d come and do something more practical and I made the right decision. The tutors are great and always explain everything well, I come into College on Monday and Tuesday 9-5pm; where we do theory one day and the next day we are in the workshop doing practical work. From Wednesday until Saturday I work for an electrical company nearby and it’s great as often what I’ve learnt in College I apply in my job that very same week, so my boss is happy when I know how to do something already."
