The Digital Support Services T Level 2 year programme at Barnet and Southgate College is suitable for anyone wanting a career in digital infrastructure and support. With this T-Level, you will be able to progress to a related higher-level apprenticeship, or course of study at a higher level. The main area of study covers Digital Infrastructure and there will be a mixture of classroom and on the job learning through industrial placements.
This new qualification provides the essential knowledge, understanding and skills relevant to any network infrastructure occupation. You’ll learn about the impact of technology on business, ethical and moral issues raised by the increasing use of technology, digital analysis, networking, cybersecurity, and testing.

What qualifications or experience do I need?
There are no specific prior skills/knowledge a student must have for this qualification. Our Entry requirements are at Least 5 GCSEs at grade 4 and above including Maths and English. Functional Skills English is accepted at Level 2.
What will I study ?
Students will develop a general understanding of digital: how digital technologies impact business and market environment; the ethical/moral implications of digital technology; using data in software design; using digital technologies to analyse & solve problems; digital environments, including physical, virtual & cloud environments; legal/regulatory obligations relating to digital technologies; privacy and confidentiality of personal data; technical, physical and human aspects of internet security; planning digital projects; testing software, hardware and data; digital tools for project management and collaboration.
Students will also study topics specific to digital support services, including: roles within digital support services; communication in digital support services; fault analysis & problem resolution.
How will I be assessed ?
To achieve this qualification, you must successfully demonstrate their achievement of the core component and one occupational specialism component. Core component: paper A written examination; paper B written examination; employer-set project.
You will also complete at least 315 hours of work experience as part of the programme.
