What qualifications or experience do I need?
Students should have a voluntary placement (for at least two days a week or 12 hours a week) arranged in a school. You will require competent IT skills for the e-portfolio. Conditional Offer: Subject to exam results, references, suitability to work within the childcare/education sector
What will I study ?
One day a week in college, plus independent study using an e-portfolio. Students will be required to show competence in both knowledge and skills. This course will consist of a mixture of online and face to face teaching.
How will I be assessed ?
There will be an Internal assessment using a range of methods including direct observations (being visited at your setting), an e-portfolio of evidence, written assignments and a set of tasks set by CACHE.
What qualifications could I achieve ?
CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools (QCF).

Will I need an interview ?
Yes, we would like to meet you, it's all very informal. You will also be required to complete a written task. Please ensure you bring a handwritten personal statement of approximately 200 words to your interview, stating why you would like to work in the Childcare sector.
