What qualifications or experience do I need?

GCSE Maths at grade 6 or above, plus 4 additional GCSEs at grade 5 or above (including English Language and Science).

What will I study ?

You’ll be taught by a combination of lecturers and industry experts. using industry materials and practices, work on practical projects, problem-solving challenges and industry-led case studies throughout the course. The course includes topics such as: • Skills and Behaviours • Principles of flight and propulsion • Aircraft materials, design, and systems • Electrical and mechanical engineering • Human factors and safety management • Digital technologies and sustainability in aviation

How will I be assessed ?

BTEC Nationals are assessed using a combination of internal assessments, which are set and marked by teachers, and external assessments which are set and marked by Pearson: 1. Mandatory units have a combination of internal and external assessments. 2. All optional units are internally assessed.

What qualifications could I achieve ?

You’ll graduate with a Level 3 qualification equivalent to three A Levels and a unique AvGen Industry Certificate recognised by employers across the UK • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering • AvGen Industry Certificate
