Those who are responsible for supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources. Typical job roles include team leaders, first line managers and supervisors from all sectors - private, public or third sector organisations of any size. Attendance on this course is required once every month.

What qualifications or experience do I need?

Five GCSEs at Grade C or higher with a GCSE English and Maths A-C or L2 English and Maths Functional Skills (Apprentices without L2 English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to joining this programme). You will also need to be working in a Team Leading or Supervisor role

What will I study ?

Topics covered will include; leading and managing people, building relationships, communication, operational and project management, finance and decision making. Attendance on this course is required once every month.

How will I be assessed ?

During the programme you will complete an online or paper based exams for Functional Skills. A series of assignments and work based activities to demonstrate the development of your knowledge, skills and behaviours. Observations in the workplace, looking at how you perform your job role. Witness testimonies provided by your employer about the standard of your work. At the end of the programme you will be assessed by an independent end point assessment organisation who will make a decision on whether you have passed your apprenticeship or not. They will use a grading system of Pass, Merit, Distinction or Fail. This will include a test using scenarios and questions, a competency based interview, the portfolio of evidence and a review of your CPD log with a follow up professional discussion

What qualifications could I achieve ?

Team Leader Supervisor Apprenticeship Standard – Level 3 ILM L3 Diploma in Management Functional Skills in English and Maths at L2 (as appropriate)
