This apprenticeship is aimed at those who are responsible for delivering a high quality service to customers in the workplace, digitally, or through going out into the customer’s own locality. You may be the first point of contact and work in any sector or organisation type. Your customer interactions may cover a wide range of situations and can include; face-to-face, telephone, post, email, text and social media.

What qualifications or experience do I need?
Apprentices will be required to have or achieve level 1 English and Maths and to have taken level 2 English and Maths tests prior to completion of their Apprenticeship. Apprentices must also be working in a Customer Service role.
What will I study ?
You will learn the knowledge, skills and behaviours required of a customer service practitioner as defined in the Customer Service Practitioner Standard. You will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and behaviours as well as product and/or service knowledge when delivering to your customers. You will learn how to provide a service in line with the organisation’s customer service standards and strategy and within appropriate regulatory requirements.
Delivery will take the form of a series of monthly classroom sessions to develop the required underpinning knowledge. This will then be supported by monthly visits to the workplace to assess the development of skills and behaviours required to meet the Standard, using a series of work-based activities/projects.
How will I be assessed ?
There are two phases for assessment. On Programme Assessment, which is conducted by your assessor in preparation for End Point Assessment, which is conducted by an independent End Point Assessor.

Functional Skills in English and Maths at L1 and L2 (as appropriate)
